Shipping Policy

This policy covers how Canyon Exotics ships plants, jewelry and gems, and dry goods. It works alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

What We Ship

  • Live plants
  • Jewelry and gems
  • Dry goods (soil, pots, accessories, supplies)

We do not ship tissue culture (TC) flasks at this time.

Ship Days Live plants ship Monday through Wednesday only. This avoids weekend transit holds that stress live material. Orders placed Thursday through Sunday ship the following Monday.

Jewelry, gems, and dry goods may ship any business day.

Processing Time Most orders are processed within 2 to 4 business days. Custom mixes, pre-orders, and limited drops may take longer. Lead time is noted on the product page.

Carriers We ship primarily via USPS. UPS may be used for select orders or destinations.

Weather Holds If forecast highs or lows along the route are extreme enough to risk plant damage, we hold the order and email you. Holds are common during Southern and Southwestern summer heat and Northern winter cold. If you need a shipment delayed for travel, weather, or an address change, email support@canyonexotics.com before your order ships.

Shipping Rates Rates are calculated at checkout based on weight, dimensions, and destination.

Risk of Loss Title and risk of loss transfer to you when the carrier accepts the package from us. Once a package is in transit, we are not responsible for carrier delays, loss, or damage caused by mishandling. We'll help you file a carrier claim when applicable.

DOA (Dead on Arrival) Claims If a live plant arrives dead or severely damaged, email support@canyonexotics.com within 48 hours of delivery with:

  • Your order number
  • Clear photos of the plant and packaging as received

Claims submitted after 48 hours, or without photos, can't be processed. Approved DOA claims are refunded or replaced at our discretion. Plants that decline after the 48-hour window are the buyer's responsibility. See our Terms of Service for full return terms.

Domestic Only We currently ship within the United States only.

Address Accuracy You're responsible for providing a complete, accurate shipping address. Packages returned to us due to incorrect addresses, refused delivery, or unclaimed pickup will be reshipped at the buyer's expense.
