Sundews & More

Carnivorous plants beyond the butterworts. Drosera capensis 'Red', the red Cape sundew, is one of the easiest in cultivation. Bright light and distilled water are all it needs, and the dew-tipped leaves work through fungus gnats on their own.

Sundews want more water than a butterwort. Stand the pot in a shallow tray of distilled or rain water through the growing season, give it as much light as you can, and the whole plant will flush deeper red. Like everything we sell, our sundews are grown in-house in Chandler, Arizona and ship live and rooted, never resold. The collection is small on purpose and sundews are seed-grown in batches, so if the plant is sold out, leave your email on its page and we will let you know when the next batch is ready.
