Sundews & More

Carnivorous plants beyond the butterworts, starting with sundews. Drosera capensis 'Red' — the red Cape sundew — is one of the easiest carnivorous plants in cultivation: bright light and distilled water are enough for its dew-tipped leaves to handle fungus gnats on their own.

Like everything we sell, our sundews are grown in-house in Chandler, Arizona and shipped live and rooted, never resold. The collection is small on purpose — new genera and species are added as our propagation stock matures.

New to sundews? They like more water than a butterwort: keep the pot in a shallow tray of distilled water through the growing season and give as much light as you can.
