A vigorous Mexican butterwort hybrid registered in 1998 by Jan Flisek and Kamil Pasek. 'Aphrodite' inherits the long, arching leaves of its moctezumae parent, with strap-like rosettes that can stretch up to 10 inches in strong light. Foliage ranges from soft green to blushing pink depending on intensity, each leaf coated in sticky mucilage that traps fungus gnats and other small insects. A near constant bloomer, sending up tall stalks of violet flowers throughout much of the year.
